Here you may find some useful language hints and tips. Disclaimer, I only speak German and English fluently; the rest is kind of ‘eh’. More Swahili and some Arabic to come shortly.

French: Bonjour.
German: Hallo. Guten Tag.
Spanish: Hola. Buenos dias.
Swahili: Jambo.

How are you?
French: Comment allez-vous? Or: Ça va?
German: Wie geht es Ihnen? (formal) Wie geht’s? (informal)
Spanish: ¿Como estás? (informal) ¿Como está Usted? (formal) ¿Que tal? (informal)
Swahili: Habari?

Thank You
French: Merci.
German: Formal: Vielen Dank. Informal: Danke.
Spanish: Gracias.
Swahili: Ansante

French: Je suis désolé(e)
German: Es tut mir Leid. Or, Entschuldigung.
Spanish: Lo siento

French: Au revoir. Ciao.
German: Auf Wiedersehen. Tschüss.
Spanish: Hasta luego.
Swahili: Kwaheri.

Where is it?
French: Où est-il ?
German: Wo ist es?
Spanish: ¿Donde está?

What did you say?
French: Qu’est-ce que vous avez dit? Or simply Pardon?
German: Was haben Sie gesagt? (Formal)
Spanish: Repite, por favor.

I Would Like That
French: Je voudrais ceci.
German: Das gefaellt mir.
Spanish: Me gustaria eso

Nice seeing you
French: Je suis content(e) de vous voir.
German: Es war nett, Sie zu sehen.
